The Long Marriage
The Long Marriage
Distilled in the mid-sixties and bottled at natural cask strength this rare Blended Scotch Whisky carries with it a wonderfully evocative antique character with layers of complexity that can only be achieved through decades of slow development.
"Profoundly rich and mellow; Christmas pudding top notes, creamy texture and a taste which is at once sweet and savory, with a long finish."
Charlie McLean
"98 / 100. A wonderful complex whisky. Because of the ride it took me on it is the whisky I rate the highest of everything I ever had, and likely it will stay just that for a very long time."

The Finer Details
Distilled in the mid-sixties and blended three years later, this unique and rare Blended Scotch Whisky has lain undisturbed in a single refill sherry butt for well over half a century. Bottled at natural strength as a single cask release this is one of the rarest whiskies within our inventory –rich and mature with a majestic antique character and layers of complexity.
- Matured for over 50 years in a single Sherry Cask.
- Offered at a natural cask strength.
- Free from added colour.
- Non-chill filtered.
- Packaged in a hand-engraved, individually numbered decanter with ash display box featuring gold leaf inlay.
Nose
A wonderfully evocative oily nose redolent of candle wax, paraffin and Victorian stately homes, all underpinned by the generous decadence of old grain whisky.
Palate
On the palate it is vibrant, spicy and mouth-coating with notes of cinnamon and a meandering sweet to dry finish.
