A Breath of Fresh Air
The Garden at Hazelwood
The Garden at Hazelwood
"This delicate blended malt whisky, itself almost half a century old at 47 years, radiates notes of lavender and boiled sweets."
Alex Martin
The Finer Details
The garden at Hazelwood House has provided a sanctuary and retreat for generations of the Gordon family including Charles Gordon himself who was evacuated there as a child during the Second World War. This wonderfully bright release carries perfumed notes of lavender alongside a generous orchard fruit character reminiscent of the garden itself. Echoes of summers gone by in a special place preserved and protected throughout the generations.
Nose
The nose is met with a brush of light lavender, before transitioning into a herbaceous quality, resonant of a bountiful earthy autumn harvest.
Palate
On the palate, more herbaceous qualities become apparent, bringing with it a sense of freshly cut grass, a cooling breeze of mint, topped with perfumed parma violets and orchard fruits.
