The Finer Details

Distilled in the early 1980s, in the era of brightly coloured, tropical flavoured cocktails it is perhaps only natural that this Speyside Malt has taken on notes of pineapple and mango throughout its time in cask. The emergence of flavours such as this is unusual, inexplicable and reminds us of the magical process that takes place between cask and spirit over time.

A tribute to the vibrant decade of the 1980s.
Matured in a combination of first and refill sherry casks.
Offered at a natural cask strength.
Free from added colour.
Non-chill filtered.
Packaged in a hand-labelled, individually numbered decanter with accompanying gift box.

Nose

Astonishingly bright on the nose with notes of fresh pineapple, barbecued fruit and a delicious Victorian sweet shop character.

Palate

On the palate, the tropical theme continues with delicious, charred fruit sweetness alongside a creamy caramelised barbecue smoke and bright zesty citrus. A true one-of-a-kind.
