Established in August 2012 and located in the heart of London’s Mayfair, Hedonism Wines is a celebrated fine wines and spirits destination. Hedonism Wines firmly believe that there are many things which one should enjoy in life and with the word “hedonism” frequently used in tasting notes, Scotch Whisky is certainly one of them.
In a literal pursuit of pleasure, the Hedonism team travelled to our Speyside home in search of the perfect blend. Undertaking a journey of discovery, a panel of Hedonism’s finest experts spent hours with our whisky makers sampling our ancient stocks in the very warehouses where they had slumbered for decades.
Over a series of intensive tastings, eventually concluding in Hedonism’s home in central London, samples were mercilessly whittled away in the pursuit of pleasure.
At last, the fated casks were found. The merits of a spirit that had slumbered for over half a century was crowned with the title, and the purveyors rested their search at an end, knowing they had indeed finally
found their magnum opus.

The Pursuit of Pleasure
52-Year-Old Blended Scotch Whisky, 45.0% ABV
Nose: Dense with sticky jam sweetness.
Saddlery workshops cut through, with hints of
furniture polish and leather apparent, before a
zingy zest of burnt orange takes the floor.
Taste: More sweetness echoed in an
effervescent barley sugar character. Light oak
and vanilla make wonderful bedfellows,
followed by a long, lingering finish of gently
smoking charcoal embers upon a barbecue.
